CHANGSHA 2025: CHINA-AFRICA COOPERATION HITS A NEW GEAR

From June 12–15, 2025, the city of Changsha in Hunan Province, China, will welcome Africa to one of the continent's most ambitious platforms for collaboration: The China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo. "This is more than just an event, it's a reset button for a new era of mutual growth, where Africa is not just a guest but a partner."

The 2025 Expo places emphasis on real opportunities: trade expansion, tech innovation, and economic reform. The Expo is designed to spark connections, launch ventures, and promote sustainable development across both continents.

At the heart of it all is the China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Demonstration Park in Changsha's Yuhua District, a living laboratory of partnership. Here, African businesses, startups, and entrepreneurs work side by side with Chinese firms, bridging not only economies but cultures and aspirations.

Hunan Galaxy, one of the driving forces within the Park, has emerged as a central figure in shaping this collaboration. Its mission is to ensure Africa isn't merely present but fully engaged, represented, and respected.

To quote Mr Austin Akpehe, Hunan Galaxy spokesperson, "This is not just a trade show. It's a movement, and Africa has a leading role."

"Beyond the networking and negotiations, Changsha offers visitors a deeper connection and a blend of ancient wisdom and modern progress. The city effectively connects to Shaoshan, birthplace of Chairman Mao; Zhangjiajie, the natural wonder that inspired Avatar, and marvel at nature's grandeur; and Phoenix Ancient Town (Fenghuang),where culture and history flow like its rivers."Austin talked about his impression on Changsha City.
Put it another way, it's where deals are made in boardrooms and friendships are sealed over tea and tradition.
