8月9日，利比里亚媒体传播能力研修班学员——利比里亚EYE TV首席执行官兼创始人Moses B. Cole和Reports231传媒网络公司总经理、编辑、高级记者Godfred Badu Quansah来到湖南星辰在线新媒体有限公司交流，就新媒体内容生产、AI技术应用等话题，通过实地参观与座谈交流，近距离感受长沙世界“媒体艺术之都”新媒体行业的创新活力与独特魅力。
On August 9, Moses B. Cole, CEO and Founder of EYE TV in Liberia, and Godfred Badu Quansah, General Manager, Editor, and Senior Reporter of Reports231 Media Network, visited Changsha Online. They are also the participants from the Seminar on Media Communication Capacity for Liberia in China this year. Through on-site visits and discussions, they gained an up-close experience of the innovative vitality and unique charm of the new media industry in the UNESCO City of Media Arts.
星辰全媒体记者刘佳：“利比里亚与中国的媒体之间有什么异同？”
Liu Jia: “Could you please talk about the differences and similarities between Liberian and Chinese media?”
利比里亚EYE TV 首席执行官兼创始人 Moses B.Cole：“让我们先来看看相似之处，虽然处于不同国度，但我们都为着共同的理想从事着相同的职业。我的媒体机构名称是 EYE TV，意思是教育年轻人追求卓越，我们的座右铭是为年轻人发声。所以我们相信有太多的事情，太多当代年轻人正在做的积极向上的东西，没有被报道过或没听说过，尤其是在非洲，所以我们相信我们的平台可以为他们提供一个发声的地方，这就是我们的平台名字的由来以及我们的座右铭。”
Moses B.Cole: “Let's look at the similarities first. We are both media institutions from different countries in the world.My institution name is EYE TV, it represents educating youth for excellence, and our motto is raising their voices. So we believe that there are too many things, too many positive things that young people in the world are doing, especially in Africa that not been spoken or heard about. So we believe our platform can be used to amplify their voices. So that's why we say EYE, educating youth for excellence and the motto is raising their voices.”
Reports231传媒网络公司总经理、编辑、高级记者Godfred Badu Quansah：“如果来对比两国媒体，我会告诉你，由于内战，14年的战争，我们目前在媒体发展方面落后了，这让我们在基础设施、技术发展、全面教育等方面目前都落后，在实现我们的理想之前，我们仍然在不断努力。第二个我想说的是，中国目前的发展已经远远领先于我们，就像我说的，在技术设备等方面都远远领先于我们，中国政府也有帮助我们的国家电视台拥有更好的办公环境，就像你们的办公室。
在利比里亚，较多人群是收听广播的，其次是报纸再其次是社交媒体，我们还拥有的电视观众并不太多。在我们国家，大概在运营的只有三到四家国家主流媒体机构，大多数的传播还是基于脸书、抖音、油管等渠道，怎么扩大宣传影响对于我们来说也是很具有挑战性的。中国为我们提供了一个来到这里学习交流的机会，为期两周的学习对我们来说已经足够了，我们也很希望我们在家的同事以后也有机会能来这里进行学习，并获得这种体验并学到一些东西。我们正在学习如何进行有效宣传推广，就像我刚说的，我们在做好国家宣传方面做得还不够，所以我们才更需要寻求合作，我们不断在寻求帮助，寻找合作，致力于让我们国家的媒体也得到发展，对，就是这样。”
Godfred Badu Quansah: “If you want to compare the two, I will tell you we are lacking behind first due to the civil war, 14 years of war, it makes us to lack behind a lot in terms of infrastructure, technology, and full scale education. We are still struggling to build those things before we can get the full thing we want. The second one I will tell you is China is far ahead of us, very far ahead of us, like i said in terms of technology and even equipments. Even the Chinese government is the one that is trying to help our state broadcast to have better studio like what you have here.
Back in Liberia, the Liberian people listen to radio more, and then newspaper and then on social media. So we don't really have a television audience. So only the state broadcast, and I think three or four other media institutions run, most of our broadcasts are online like the Facebook, TikTok, the YouTube and those other institutions. So it's a challenge it's very challenging. China has given some of us the opportunity here to come and learn for two weeks, that is enough for us. And I think we are praying and hoping that some of our colleagues back home they have the opportunity to come, and get this type of experience and learn some of the things. We are learning in terms of promotion, like I said we don't really promote a lot the country, so normally on these things we look for partnership, we look for people who want to help, collaborate, and then help the media to go forward.”
